Dilip’s first movie, Mahakaali, directed by S. Mahender, performed averagely at the box office.

Mahakaali dealt with several social injustices and threats faced by women in India. Devi (Malashri) takes issues into her own hands and delivers justice and hope to the women. A love story bloomed between Preetham (Dilip) and Asha (Pooja) amidst action-packed sequences.

The film includes a beautiful melody “Naguva Naguva” sung by M. G. Sreekumar and a peppy dance number “Navilugari”, sung by Ranjith and composed by Emil.

Acting was not his passion, but became one. He joined the film industry by chance, or rather by accident.

He was offered the film ‘Mahakaali’ (2015), which starred Malashri as the protagonist. Directed by S. Mahender, the film had a strong plot and boasted of some good music.

His breakthrough came when the noted director, Mahesh Babu, offered him ‘Crazy Boy’. It’s a youthful love story where Dilip plays the protagonist. Written by Ajay Kumar, Crazy Boy stars Dilip alongside Ashika, another newcomer. The soulful music in the film is directed by Jassie Gift and will be released soon.

This Final-Year Mechanical Engineering student is being welcomed with open arms in ‘Sandalwood’ and he is all eager to showcase his acting skills.
